This is a stressful world that we live in and no matter how hard we try to keep it away, stress is constantly invading our personal space.
Choose to tune out the news and avoid the attention-grabbing headlines. It is a great strategy for keeping stress levels under control. If that is not possible then, before you let the anxiety take over ask yourself;
- Can I do anything about this situation?
- Can I fix this?
- How can I fix this?
If there is nothing you can do and no way for you to fix it, leave it. Let it go. It is out of your hands.
But what to do with our daily stressors? There will always be times when life’s challenges get the best of us. We all have those days, weeks, and months. It is part of life. Knowing how to keep those troubling times from overwhelming us is one of the keys to defeating stress.
Chronic stress is a killer. We all have heard it; we all know it. A quick search on Pubmed shows that many of today’s pervasive health problems are being linked to chronic stress.

It is affecting us from birth to death. WE must learn to recognize the stress and have strategies in place to return our bodies and minds back into balance.

This is how I bring stress levels down. I keep an inhaler blend in every coat and my purse. It is called Relax and Breathe. By naming it this, I have a constant reminder of what I need to do. Sometimes the brain needs a little help when it is under pressure.
This is my recipe. Feel free to try it. I buy the reuseable inhalers on Amazon and the essential oils at Aromatics International or Rocky Mountain Oils.
Relax and Breathe
4 drops Patchouli (Pogostemon cablin)
4 drops Bergamot FCF (Citrus bergamia)
4 drops Opoponax (Commiphora guidottii)
