Herbal Monographs

Herbs, like essential oils, also have very distinct personalities and chemical profiles. I make many of my own carrier oils by infusing dried herbs in oils like organic olive oil, avocado oil, sweet almond oil. They are an important part of the salves, creams, and massage oils that you use. I think they need to be highlighted right along with the essential oils.

Here you can find information about herbs that I love. I will highlight common herbs that most everyone has heard of. They can be grown in your garden, or sourced easily from reputable companies. They are great herbs to learn about when you are starting your herbal journey. I hope you will find the information helpful.

I’m Ann

I originate from the northeast corner of the United States. Recently my husband and I packed up our lives and moved to a rural town in Middle Tennessee. I need to be outdoors in the sunshine. I need to soak in the scent of fresh-cut grass and flowers in bloom. This life change provides me with more time to have my hands and feet in the soil, growing our food and medicine. Herbalism and aromatherapy have become an intricate part of my journey toward a more natural way of living. Scented by Nature is my way of inviting you to make the break from synthetics and begin your journey to a more balanced life.
